Director
James Collord, Technical Advisor, brings over 40 years of experience in Nevada?s minerals industry. His expertise includes exploration, environmental permitting, mine construction, open-pit operations, reclamation, and environmental and lands management.
He holds an M.S. in Geology from the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada, Reno. Mr. Collord spent more than 20 years with Freeport Exploration, contributing to the discovery of several Nevada mines and later managing operations and permitting efforts at the Big Springs and Jerritt Canyon mines. He also served as Environmental and Lands Superintendent at Cortez Gold Mines before managing environmental and hydrogeologic consulting offices in Elko.
Mr. Collord has been affiliated with Thunder Mountain Gold since 1978 and joined the Company in 2007. He is the grandson of Daniel C. McRae, the original locator of the Thunder Mountain Mining District gold deposits in the early 1900s.
