  • E. James Collord, President
    Elko, Nevada

    Jim has thirty-five years of practical and varied experience in the Nevada minerals industry with a solid background in environmental permitting and compliance, open pit mine operations, mine construction and reclamation, and exploration. Most recently, Jim was Environmental and Land Superintendent for Cortez Gold Mines, a Joint Venture between Placer Dome and Kennecott Minerals. The Cortez Mine produced over one million ounces per year for seven consecutive years, and Jim was responsible for all state and federal environmental permits, project compliance and land issues.

    At Independence Mining, Jim was Mine Superintendent at the Big Springs and Jerritt Canyon gold mines with supervisory responsibility for mine infrastructure design, field construction, operations, permitting and reclamation. He took the Big Springs mine operation from grassroots through advanced exploration to full production on schedule and at budget. As Mine Superintendent at Jerritt Canyon, Jim managed a crew of 200 while increasing production to a record level of 40 million tons per year and improving crew morale and safety.

    Jim has extensive Nevada exploration experience ranging from grassroots reconnaissance to pre-mine development, and directed exploration team efforts that led to the discovery of Big Springs mine. Jim is experienced in community relations, sustainable development, and governmental affairs at local, state and national levels on mining and public land issues.

    Jim is the grandson of Daniel C. McRae, the original locator of a majority of the mining claims in the Thunder Mountain Mining District. His father, Jim Collord, Sr., worked for many years in the area mines, and was the previous president of the Company. Jim has a MS in Geology from the Mackay School of Mines, Reno, Nevada.

    Jim is a consultant in the minerals industry and is President and CEO of Thunder Mountain Gold.

  • G. Peter Parsley, Vice President
    Boise, Idaho

    Pete has a MS in Geology degree from the University of Idaho and has over 23 years of varied experience in exploration, mine permitting, development, compliance, and mine disturbance reclamation. He also has extensive minerals economic experience and has had reporting responsibilities in both Canada and the United States. He has been the President of Triumph Gold Corporation where he has been responsible for exploration, property acquisition, and compliance reporting in the North America, Africa, Asia, and South America.

    Pete has been associated with the Thunder Mountain Mining District since 1993 as the leader of the USMX, Inc. team that conducted about $5.6 million worth of exploration work in the District. While working for USMX, Inc., he was responsible for property evaluations in the western U.S. and the geotechnical work on the Illinois Creek Gold Project, west-central Alaska. Prior to working for USMX, Inc., Pete worked for Tenneco Minerals as Chief Geologist and was responsible for regional exploration programs and mine development in the Goldstrike District in southwestern Utah. He also conducted regional reconnaissance programs in Nevada for Tenneco Minerals.

    Pete is Exploration Manager and Vice President of Thunder Mountain Gold.

  • Eric T. Jones, VP Investor Relations, Chief Financial Officer
    Boise, Idaho

    Eric Jones, 44, has over 20 years of varied mining, financial and entrepreneurial experience. After receiving a degree in Geologic Engineering from the University of Idaho with core engineering studies at the Colorado School of Mines, Eric worked for Hecla Mining Company as Environmental Manager at their Rosebud Mine in Nevada and Project Manager for the closure of their Stibnite Mine, Idaho. Also working in Stibnite, Eric was the General Manager of open pit/heap leach operations for Dakota Mining Corporation for the period 1994-1997. Since 1998, Eric has been engaged as a manger of a Boise-based private investment fund that returned over 60% in 18 months. Most recently, Eric has worked with various successful Boise companies in business development.

  • Robin "Sandy" McRae

    Sandy McRae, 65, is a graduate of the Pacific College of Optometry and had a successful optometry office in Boise for a number of years. He is the grandson of Daniel C. McRae, the original locator of a majority of the mining claims in the Thunder Mountain Gold Mining District, and is the son of Robert J. McRae, author of numerous geological reports on Thunder Mountain. Sandy's knowledge of the history, mining and exploration activities in the area is derived from three generations of ownership of the Sunnyside Group of Claims, the core property owned by the Company until it was sold to Trust for Public Lands in 2005.

  • Edward D. Fields
    Idaho City, Idaho

    Ed Fields, 68, is a professional mineral resource geologist with over forty years of demonstrated leadership in mineral exploration including several successful mineral discoveries, extensive experience in conducting and evaluating mineral deposits in a variety of geological and geographical terrains, and proven managerial experience in the mining industry.

    Ed's career includes Manager of Mineral Resources for the Boise Cascade Corporation for the period 1983 to 1999. His accomplishments included the discovery of a significant underground gold resource in Washington State, development of sand and gravel operations, and oversight of numerous oil and gas leases. Other career highlights include geologic work for Kennecott Copper Company on their Ok Tedi copper-gold mine located in Papua New Guinea and as Chief Geologist for the Duval Corporation at their Battle Mountain, Nevada copper-gold mine.

    Ed has a MS in Geology from the University of Wyoming. He currently has his own exploration company located in Idaho City.

  • Doug Glaspey

    Mr. Glaspey is Chief Operating Officer, and Director of U.S. Geothermal Inc. – a Boise, Idaho-based renewable energy development company that is listed on the AMEX and TSX, and is currently operating geothermal power plants at Raft River, Idaho and San Emidio, Nevada. Mr. Glaspey is a metallurgical engineer with 29 years of operating and management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Processing Engineering and an Associate of Science in Engineering Science. His experience includes public company management, mine production, planning and directing resource exploration programs, preparing feasibility studies and environmental permitting. Mr. Glaspey has held positions as president of U.S. Cobalt Inc. (a former TSX Venture Exchange listed company), project manager of Atlanta Gold Corporation of America Inc. (TSX), and president of Black Diamond Corporation, a private mineral exploration company.
